Given we have just dedicated a section to spying on iphones it seems apt that we now consider the options to spy on android phones as android is probably a superior OS to anything that Apple can produce for the iphone, however, it may die a death in a supior product but inferior branding/beetamax vs VhS type battle, lets hope not!

These usually scan for spyware and help you remove it but in all seriousness these detection apps dont work, if you want to spy on an android phone none of these apps will stop you.

To find an android spyware you could do a search of google or take a look at one of the many android spyware reviews sites out there, but these are known to very bias and will not simply tell you the best android spyware buy will rather show you the one that will pay them the highest rate of commission.

Android spyware downloads are available away from the android marketplace and you will need to search these out online and you will also need to be aware that they will never have the android seal of approval and the nature of the use of the software is discouraged because:

• Spying on someone is regarded as immoral (but what if its your kids and you are worried about and need to keep an eye on them)
• There are legal implications of spying on someones phone and its likely that the android marketplace do not want to be connected with it for these reasons.
• The phone hacking in the news has not helped at all!

The free android spyware that is available for download is not, at this time, a serious alternative to the paid options. There are no fully 100% working free versions, there are some trials, but by nature of a trial, they often alert the person using the handset to the presence of the software which is not ideal. These free trials are also often time limited (to a few hours) and really do only exist to try to prove to the potential buyer that such software works!

Just to clarify, the kind of spyware we are talking about here is not the simple tracking software that you would use to find a mobile phone if you lost it nor the “virus” type of spyware that spreads on its own in the wild, here we are talking about full blown mobile phone spying software that is designed to monitors the actions of a person through their mobile phone.
